Observing the safety and security of persons vulnerable to GBV/ HIV is a principal prevention and response requirement. Security and safety against the backdrop of GBV /HIV intertwine with human rights and the effectiveness of litigation procedures. The security sector is mandated to ensure enforcement of legal frameworks in place and contribute to reviews and development of other relevant laws and mechanisms to ensure constitutional and human rights are not in any way violated. Resources in this section will focus on enriching dialogue around these salient issues that define security and safety with regard GBV/HIV, key actors and emerging perspectives.
